The Tata Wallace Foundation is a nonprofit organization established in honor of Advocate Wallace Amos Mgoqi, whose life’s work was dedicated to justice, equality, and the upliftment of marginalized communities. We are committed to continuing his vision by addressing systemic inequalities and fostering sustainable development through a range of impactful initiatives.

Governance and Leadership
The Tata Wallace Foundation is governed by a leadership that is committed to upholding the values and vision of Advocate Wallace Mgoqi. The board works closely with an operational team and strategic partners to implement the foundation’s initiatives effectively.
Creative Strategist Director

Nomvuyo Louisa Xabela
A visionary social entrepreneur, is deeply committed to nation-building and empowering individuals, especially women, to drive sustainable development. As the Founder and Director of Bluebanana Promotions, she has demonstrated her leadership and strategic capabilities in corporate gift procurement. With over 15 years of diverse experience in human resources, marketing, and business development, Nomvuyo has honed her skills in project management, leadership, and collaboration. Her background includes key executive roles, such as serving as the Board member for two years at Prowess Investment Managers and currently a Non-exec Director at Prowess foundation also serves at ABH Agri- hub. Armed with a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and ongoing leadership development training, she is well-equipped to lead the foundation with a focus on fostering social justice, innovation, and ethical leadership for a brighter future in Africa
Operations Director

Veronica Mkubukeli
Dedicated community development professional with a passion for improving the lives of those in disadvantaged communities. With experience in crime awareness through her work with Crime Stop and as a nutrition educator at Dr. Rath Health Foundation, she has developed strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Veronica also founded a soup kitchen to support her local community, emphasizing the importance of creating a drug-free environment. She holds a Project Management qualification from the College of South Africa and is committed to uplifting others through her work.
Media Liaison Director

Mbali Mgoqi
An accomplished international author and four-time contest winner on Inkitt, a global reader-powered platform. She has demonstrated versatility in various genres, including thrillers, fantasy, and supernatural fiction. Her novel, The Alliance, gained significant recognition, leading to freelance ghostwriting opportunities and an exclusive publishing contract for her series Prime Prophecy. Mbali's dedication to her craft is further evidenced by her sci-fi novella, Veridian, which was published by Starry Eyed Press, and her multiple honorable mentions in L. Ron Hubbard’s Writers of the Future Contest. Currently pursuing a degree in Creative Writing, she is committed to honing her storytelling abilities while balancing financial challenges. With her passion for writing and continuous pursuit of excellence, Mbali strives to leave a lasting impact on the literary world
Projects Director

Mr Nkululeko Bram Mhlom
A skilled educator, community leader, and mediator with a diverse background in education management and conflict resolution. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the Western Cape, a BT in Education Management from Cape Peninsula Technikon, and certifications in conflict resolution. Mhlomi has extensive experience in leadership, having served as CEO of the Bellville Taxi Association and caretaker principal at Parliament Street Primary School. Currently, he works as a facilitator for the Western Cape Education Department, specializing in training school governing bodies and senior management teams. His expertise spans communication, leadership, mediation, and strategic problem-solving. Moreover he is the founder and former principal of Enkululekweni Primary School Mr Nkululeko Bram Mhlom which was the 1st education Institution/school of all in both informal settlements known as Wallacedene& Bloekombos,Wallacedene as the 1st informal naned after Dr Wallace Mgoqi...

Dr Bennet Mdebuka
An accomplished business leader and consultant with extensive experience in strategy formulation, organizational leadership, and managing cultural diversity. He holds a B. Com and Honours B. Com from the University of Fort Hare and UNISA, respectively, and was awarded an Honorary PhD for his lifelong contribution to the development of small businesses. Dr. Mdebuka has held various leadership roles, including Western Cape Rental Housing Tribunal Member, Board Member of the Cape Town International Convention Centre, and Non-Executive Chairperson at Intersite Assets Investments. He has also been recognized for his excellence in corporate leadership and development.

Community Garden.
				Our flagship project, the 360-degree smart community garden at Enkululekweni Primary School in Wallacedene, is a pioneering initiative aimed at creating a sustainable, self-sufficient agricultural ecosystem.
